Making a long service leave claim

Start planning now to enjoy your long service leave.

When can I apply?

You can apply to take long service leave once you have recorded more than 2,600 service days (equivalent to 10 years full time employment). We will let you know when this happens, but you can check how close you are at any point by logging in to see the number of service days you have recorded.

How many weeks of leave can I take?

When you qualify you will be able to take 13 weeks. Leave must be taken in whole weeks, and the minimum period is 2 weeks. Every additional 200 service days you record, entitles you to another week of leave.

How much will I be paid?

Your payment will be made up of two different components, the weeks of leave accrued as an employee and the weeks of leave accrued as a Working Director.

We will use your earliest entitlement first (which means, if you apply take your long service leave in multiple periods, in most cases you will be paid the weeks of leave accrued as an employee before the weeks accrued as a Working Director).

If you have been registered as a Working Director for more than 12 months when you claim
