Portable Long Service Leave administers a voluntary scheme for Self-Employed Contractors and Working Directors.
Self-Employed Contractors and Working Directors pay a set contribution amount per bi-monthly return period. The contribution rate is reviewed annually by an Actuary to ensure the real rate of contributions is maintained over time and that a remuneration comparable to an industry average is received when long service leave is taken.
Effective from the July/August 2022 return period:
- The bi-monthly contribution amount will be $265
- The annual interest rate payable on the contributions will be 1.20%
