Introduction to new CEO

Hear from the new Chief Executive Officer of Portable Long Service Leave, Anthony Mackay.

I am pleased to advise that I have recently joined the Portable Long Service Leave team as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). I am taking on this role from Adam Warchol who during his 7 years made a number of important improvements to the way the Portable Long Service Leave business operates.

A little bit about me. My recent work experience includes being the Chief Operating Officer for the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment and prior to this the Executive Director of Shared Services SA and Director of Payroll Services. Prior to joining the South Australian Government, I worked in the banking industry for close to 20 years at a number of the ‘Big Four’ banks and at Adelaide Bank where I held the role of General Manager Processing for 5 years.

The Portable Long Service Leave Scheme is a great bi-partisan initiative that was put in place by the South Australian Government in 1977. The scheme has worked well through the last 46 years and has provided a stable, fair and effective way of administering long service leave entitlements to the South Australian construction industry.

In my time as CEO, I look forward to continuing the effective administration of this important scheme for the benefit of all employees and employers of the South Australian construction industry.
